Born in Tokyo, Japan, on May 15, 1985, Mika showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of four. Her parents recognized her talent and encouraged her to pursue music as a career. Mika's parents enrolled her in the Yamaha Music School, where she received formal training in piano and music theory. She quickly excelled in her studies and began participating in local music competitions. At the age of ten, Mika won first prize in the prestigious Japan Classical Music Competition, which marked the beginning of her professional career. Mika continued her studies at the Toho Gakuen School of Music in Tokyo, where she received a Bachelor of Music degree in piano performance. During her time at Toho Gakuen, Mika studied under the guidance of renowned pianist and pedagogue, Hiroko Nakamura. Under Nakamura's tutelage, Mika developed a deep understanding of the technical and artistic aspects of piano playing. After completing her undergraduate studies, Mika moved to Europe to further her education. She enrolled in the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln in Germany, where she studied with pianist and professor, Pavel Gililov. Mika's time in Germany was a transformative experience, as she was exposed to a new culture and musical tradition. She also had the opportunity to perform in some of Europe's most prestigious concert halls, including the Berlin Philharmonic and the Konzerthaus Berlin. Mika's talent and hard work paid off when she won first prize in the 2008 International Piano Competition in Cologne, Germany. The competition was a major milestone in Mika's career, as it brought her international recognition and opened doors to new opportunities. Since then, Mika has performed in some of the world's most renowned concert halls, including Carnegie Hall in New York, the Royal Albert Hall in London, and the Salle Pleyel in Paris. She has collaborated with some of the world's leading orchestras, including the Berlin Philharmonic, the London Symphony Orchestra, and the New York Philharmonic.
