Alexey Gorokholinsky is a renowned classical music artist who has made a significant impact in the world of music. Born on December 12, 1985, in Moscow, Russia, Gorokholinsky showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of six. His parents recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursue his passion for music. Gorokholinsky's musical education began at the Gnessin School of Music in Moscow, where he studied under the guidance of renowned pianist and teacher, Tatiana Zelikman. He later continued his studies at the Moscow State Conservatory, where he received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in piano performance. Throughout his career, Gorokholinsky has performed in numerous concerts and competitions, both in Russia and internationally. In 2006, he won the Grand Prix at the International Piano Competition in Memory of Emil Gilels, which was held in Odessa, Ukraine. This win marked the beginning of his rise to fame in the classical music world. In 2008, Gorokholinsky was invited to perform at the prestigious International Keyboard Institute and Festival in New York City. His performance was highly acclaimed, and he was invited back to perform at the festival in 2009 and 2010. In 2011, he was invited to perform at the International Piano Festival in La Roque d'Antheron, France, where he received rave reviews for his performance. Gorokholinsky has also performed with numerous orchestras, including the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra, the Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra, and the Russian National Orchestra. In 2012, he performed with the Mariinsky Orchestra under the baton of Valery Gergiev at the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg, Russia. In addition to his performances, Gorokholinsky is also a dedicated teacher. He has taught at the Moscow State Conservatory and the Gnessin School of Music, where he was a professor of piano performance.
