From a young age, Lange showed a keen interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of four. Lange's parents recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursue a career in music. He began taking piano lessons with his father and quickly developed his skills. By the age of ten, Lange had already won several local piano competitions and was gaining recognition as a prodigious young talent. In 1996, Lange was accepted into the prestigious Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin, where he studied under the guidance of renowned pianist and pedagogue Klaus Hellwig. During his time at the conservatory, Lange honed his skills and developed a deep understanding of classical music. After graduating from the conservatory in 2005, Lange began performing professionally and quickly gained a reputation as one of the most talented young pianists of his generation. He made his debut with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra in 2007, performing Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5, "Emperor," to critical acclaim. Over the years, Lange has performed with some of the world's most prestigious orchestras, including the New York Philharmonic, the London Symphony Orchestra, and the Vienna Philharmonic. Lange's repertoire is vast and includes works by some of the greatest composers in history, including Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, and Rachmaninoff. He is particularly known for his interpretations of the works of Franz Liszt, and has been praised for his ability to bring out the emotional depth and complexity of Liszt's music. In addition to his performances, Lange is also a dedicated teacher and has taught masterclasses at some of the world's leading music schools, including the Juilliard School in New York and the Royal Academy of Music in London. He is passionate about passing on his knowledge and experience to the next generation of musicians and is committed to helping young pianists develop their skills and reach their full potential. In 2010, he was awarded the prestigious Echo Klassik award for his recording of Liszt's Piano Sonata in B minor. He has also been awarded the Diapason d'Or, the Gramophone Award, and the International Classical Music Award. Despite his success, Lange remains humble and dedicated to his craft.
