Rosanne Hunt is a renowned Australian cellist who has made a significant contribution to the world of classical music. Born in Melbourne, Australia, on 22nd September 1962, Hunt showed an early interest in music and began playing the cello at the age of nine. She was a student of John Painter, a well-known cellist and teacher in Australia, and later studied with William Pleeth in London. Hunt's talent and dedication to music were evident from an early age. She won numerous awards and competitions, including the prestigious ABC Symphony Australia Young Performers Award in 1981. This award gave her the opportunity to perform as a soloist with all the major Australian symphony orchestras. In 1983, Hunt moved to London to further her studies and pursue a career in music. She studied with William Pleeth at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and later with Jacqueline du Pré. Hunt's time in London was a turning point in her career, as she was exposed to a wider range of musical styles and had the opportunity to perform with some of the world's leading musicians.
