He started playing the piano at the age of six and quickly developed a natural talent for the instrument. Rumbelow's parents recognized his potential and enrolled him in the Royal Academy of Music in London when he was just ten years old. He studied under some of the most prominent music teachers of the time, including John Lill and Peter Katin. Rumbelow's dedication and hard work paid off, and he graduated from the academy with top honors. After completing his studies, Rumbelow began his career as a concert pianist. He quickly gained a reputation for his exceptional talent and became a sought-after performer. He made his debut performance at the Royal Festival Hall in London in 1972, where he received critical acclaim for his performance of Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5. Over the years, Rumbelow performed at some of the most prestigious concert halls around the world, including Carnegie Hall in New York, the Sydney Opera House, and the Royal Albert Hall in London.
