He studied at the New York Institute of Musical Art, which is now known as the Juilliard School. He also took private lessons with renowned violinists such as Max Rosen and Franz Kneisel. Venuti started his professional career as a musician in the 1910s, playing in various orchestras and ensembles. He gained recognition for his virtuosity and unique style of playing. He was known for his use of double stops, harmonics, and other techniques that were not commonly used in classical music at the time. In the 1920s, Venuti became a prominent figure in the jazz scene. Venuti's career reached new heights in the 1930s when he became a soloist with the New York Philharmonic.
