Born in London in 1979, Dennis grew up in a musical family and began singing at a young age. She attended the Royal Academy of Music in London, where she studied under the tutelage of renowned soprano Lillian Watson. Dennis made her professional debut in 2002, performing the role of Barbarina in Mozart's "The Marriage of Figaro" at the Glyndebourne Festival Opera. This performance marked the beginning of a successful career for Dennis, who has since performed in some of the world's most prestigious opera houses and concert halls. One of Dennis's most notable performances was her portrayal of the title role in Handel's "Theodora" at the Glyndebourne Festival Opera in 2009. Her performance was widely praised by critics, who noted her "luminous voice" and "captivating stage presence." The production was later released on DVD, further cementing Dennis's reputation as a rising star in the world of classical music. In addition to her work in opera, Dennis has also made a name for herself as a concert soloist. She has performed with some of the world's leading orchestras, including the London Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and the BBC Symphony Orchestra. She has also been a finalist in the BBC Cardiff Singer of the World competition and the Wigmore Hall International Song Competition. She is also passionate about mentoring young singers and has served as a vocal coach and mentor for the National Youth Choirs of Great Britain. In recent years, Dennis has continued to expand her repertoire and take on new challenges. In 2019, she made her debut at the Royal Opera House in London, performing the role of the Countess in Mozart's "The Marriage of Figaro."
