Juliet Stratton was born on May 12, 1985, in London, England. She was raised in a family of musicians, with her mother being a pianist and her father a cellist. From a young age, Juliet showed a natural talent for music and began playing the violin at the age of four. Juliet's parents recognized her talent and encouraged her to pursue a career in music. She began taking private lessons with renowned violinists and attended the Royal Academy of Music in London, where she studied under the guidance of Professor David Takeno. During her time at the Royal Academy of Music, Juliet won several awards and competitions, including the prestigious Royal Academy of Music Bach Prize and the Royal Philharmonic Society's Julius Isserlis Scholarship. She also performed in numerous concerts and recitals, showcasing her exceptional talent and musicality. After graduating from the Royal Academy of Music with honors, Juliet continued her studies at the Juilliard School in New York City. There, she studied with renowned violinist Itzhak Perlman and further honed her skills as a musician. Juliet's career as a professional musician began to take off after she won the International Violin Competition in Indianapolis in 2008. This win catapulted her to international fame and led to numerous invitations to perform with some of the world's most prestigious orchestras. One of Juliet's most memorable performances was her debut with the London Symphony Orchestra in 2010. She performed Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto to critical acclaim, with The Guardian describing her performance as "spellbinding" and "mesmerizing." In addition to her performances with orchestras, Juliet is also an accomplished chamber musician. She has collaborated with some of the world's most renowned musicians, including pianist Lang Lang and cellist Yo-Yo Ma. Juliet's talent and dedication to her craft have earned her numerous awards and accolades throughout her career. In addition to the awards she won as a student, she has also been awarded the Avery Fisher Career Grant and the Borletti-Buitoni Trust Fellowship. Despite her success, Juliet remains humble and dedicated to her craft. She continues to practice for several hours a day and is always looking for ways to improve her technique and musicality. In addition to her career as a musician, Juliet is also a passionate advocate for music education. She has worked with numerous organizations to promote music education and has even established her own foundation to provide scholarships to young musicians. Juliet Stratton is a true inspiration to musicians and music lovers around the world. Her talent, dedication, and passion for music have made her one of the most respected and admired classical musicians of her generation.
