Yang Jing is a renowned Chinese musician who has made significant contributions to the world of classical music. Born in Shanghai in 1976, Yang Jing began her musical journey at a young age. Her parents were both musicians, and they encouraged her to pursue music as a career. Yang Jing started playing the pipa, a traditional Chinese stringed instrument, when she was just six years old. Yang Jing's talent for music was evident from an early age. She quickly became proficient in playing the pipa and started performing in public when she was just eight years old. Her performances were well-received, and she soon gained a reputation as a talented young musician. In 1994, Yang Jing enrolled at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, where she studied under the renowned pipa player Lin Shicheng. Yang Jing's career continued to flourish after she returned to China in 2005. She became a soloist with the Shanghai Chinese Orchestra and performed with them at major venues around the world. She also started collaborating with musicians from other countries, such as the American jazz pianist Randy Weston and the French composer Jean-Michel Jarre.
