Sharan Leventhal is a renowned classical music artist who has made a significant contribution to the world of music through her exceptional skills as a violinist. Born in New York City, Leventhal grew up in a family of musicians, which played a significant role in shaping her musical career. Leventhal began playing the violin at the age of six and quickly showed a natural talent for the instrument. She received her early training from her mother, a pianist, and her father, a cellist. She later went on to study at the Juilliard School of Music, where she received her Bachelor of Music degree. She continued her studies at the New England Conservatory of Music, where she earned her Master of Music degree. Throughout her career, Leventhal has performed with some of the most prestigious orchestras and ensembles in the world. She has been a soloist with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, and the New York Philharmonic, among others. One of the highlights of Leventhal's career was her performance of the world premiere of John Harbison's Violin Concerto with the Boston Symphony Orchestra.
