The Boston String Quartet is a renowned classical music ensemble that has been captivating audiences with their exceptional performances for over a decade. The quartet consists of Christopher Vuk, violinist and founder, Angel Valchinov, violinist, Chen Lin, violist, and Alexandre Lecarme, cellist. Each member of the quartet brings their own unique style and expertise to the group, resulting in a harmonious blend of sound that is both powerful and emotive. The Boston String Quartet has performed at some of the most prestigious venues in the world, including Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, and the Boston Symphony Hall. They have also been featured on numerous radio and television programs, including NPR’s “Performance Today” and WGBH’s “Classical New England.” One of the highlights of the quartet’s career was their performance at the 2008 Grammy Awards, where they were nominated for Best Chamber Music Performance for their album “Dance Mix.” Although they did not win the award, the nomination was a testament to their exceptional talent and dedication to their craft. The quartet has also received numerous other awards and accolades throughout their career, including the Gold Medal at the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition, the Grand Prize at the Plowman Chamber Music Competition, and the Silver Medal at the Osaka International Chamber Music Competition. In addition to their impressive performance schedule, the Boston String Quartet is also committed to education and outreach. They have conducted masterclasses and workshops at universities and music schools throughout the United States, and have worked with young musicians to help them develop their skills and passion for chamber music.
