Duncan Stubbs was born on May 12, 1985, in London, England. He grew up in a family of musicians, with his father being a renowned pianist and his mother a violinist. From a young age, Stubbs showed a keen interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of four. He was a prodigious talent and quickly progressed to more advanced pieces. At the age of eight, Stubbs began taking violin lessons and soon discovered a passion for the instrument. He continued to study both the piano and violin throughout his childhood and teenage years, and by the time he was in his early twenties, he had become a highly skilled musician on both instruments. He played the solo violin part in Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto, accompanied by the BBC Symphony Orchestra.
