Alea Ensemble is a classical music ensemble that was founded in 2008 in Vienna, Austria. The ensemble is known for its unique blend of classical and contemporary music, and its ability to create a dynamic and engaging performance experience for audiences around the world. The founding members of Alea Ensemble were all graduates of the Vienna University of Music and Performing Arts, and shared a passion for exploring new and innovative approaches to classical music. The original members of the ensemble included violinist Verena Stourzh, cellist Florian Eggner, and pianist Christoph Traxler. Since its founding, Alea Ensemble has grown to include a number of additional members, including clarinetist Daniel Ottensamer, violinist Benjamin Schmid, and cellist Clemens Hagen. Each member of the ensemble brings a unique perspective and skill set to the group, helping to create a rich and diverse musical experience for audiences. One of the highlights of Alea Ensemble's career was their performance at the 2012 Salzburg Festival, where they performed a program of works by Mozart, Brahms, and Schumann.
