Matthew Dane is a renowned classical music artist who has made a name for himself as a violist, chamber musician, and teacher. Born in 1971 in New York City, he grew up in a family of musicians and was exposed to classical music from a young age. His father was a professional cellist, and his mother was a pianist and music teacher. Dane began playing the viola at the age of 10 and quickly showed a natural talent for the instrument. He studied with several renowned teachers, including Karen Tuttle, Michael Tree, and Pinchas Zukerman. He also attended the Juilliard School, where he earned a Bachelor of Music degree and a Master of Music degree.
