His father, Hugh Bingham, was a member of the London Symphony Orchestra, and his mother, Margaret Bingham, was a violin teacher. Bingham started playing the violin at the age of four, and he showed exceptional talent from an early age. He received his first violin lessons from his mother, and later he studied with renowned violinists such as Yehudi Menuhin and Nathan Milstein. Bingham's parents were his biggest inspiration, and they encouraged him to pursue a career in music. Bingham's talent was recognized early on, and he won several awards and competitions as a young musician. At the age of 12, he won the prestigious Daily Mirror National Young Violinist of the Year competition. This was followed by several other awards, including the Carl Flesch International Violin Competition in London and the Queen Elisabeth International Music Competition in Brussels.
