He was born into a family of musicians, and his father was a well-known violinist in the city. From a young age, Josef showed a keen interest in music, and his father began teaching him the violin when he was just four years old. He attended the Krakow Music Academy, where he studied under some of the most renowned violinists in the country. During his time at the academy, Josef quickly established himself as a talented musician, and he began to receive invitations to perform at various concerts and events. One of the highlights of Josef's early career was his performance at the International Violin Competition in Warsaw in 1995. He was just 20 years old at the time, but he managed to impress the judges with his technical skill and musicality. He was awarded first prize, and this marked the beginning of his international career. Over the next few years, Josef continued to perform at various concerts and events around the world. He quickly gained a reputation as one of the most talented young violinists of his generation, and he was invited to perform with some of the most prestigious orchestras in the world. One of the most memorable performances of Josef's career was his performance of Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra in 2001.
