Lidija Bizjak is a renowned classical music artist known for her exceptional piano skills and captivating performances. Born on December 23, 1976, in Belgrade, Serbia, Lidija grew up in a family of musicians. Her father, Aleksandar Bizjak, was a renowned pianist, and her mother, Ljiljana Bizjak, was a music teacher. Lidija's parents recognized her musical talent at a young age and encouraged her to pursue a career in music. Lidija began her piano studies at the age of five with her mother, who was her first teacher. She later continued her studies at the Music School in Belgrade, where she studied with Professor Ljubica Maric. Lidija's exceptional talent was evident from an early age, and she won her first piano competition at the age of seven. In 1990, Lidija moved to Paris to continue her studies at the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris with Professor Marian Rybicki. She later studied with Professor Jacques Rouvier at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris, where she graduated with honors in 1997. Lidija's career as a professional pianist began in 1995 when she won the First Prize at the International Piano Competition in Senigallia, Italy. This was followed by numerous other awards, including the First Prize at the International Piano Competition in Epinal, France, and the Second Prize at the International Piano Competition in Porto, Portugal. Lidija's talent and hard work soon caught the attention of the music world, and she began to receive invitations to perform at major music festivals and concert halls around the world. In 1998, she made her debut at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées in Paris, where she performed with the Orchestre National de France under the baton of Kurt Masur. Since then, Lidija has performed with many of the world's leading orchestras, including the London Philharmonic Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the Orchestre de Paris, the Orchestre National de France, the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra, among others. Lidija's performances have been praised for their technical brilliance, musicality, and emotional depth. She has been described as a "pianist of rare sensitivity and intelligence" and a "musician of exceptional talent and insight." In addition to her performances as a soloist, Lidija is also an accomplished chamber musician. She has collaborated with many of the world's leading musicians, including violinist Renaud Capuçon, cellist Gautier Capuçon, and clarinetist Paul Meyer. Lidija has also recorded extensively, with over a dozen albums to her name. Her recordings have received critical acclaim and have been awarded numerous prizes, including the Diapason d'Or, the Choc de Classica, and the Gramophone Editor's Choice. In addition to her performing and recording career, Lidija is also a dedicated teacher. She has taught at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris and the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris, and she currently teaches at the Haute Ecole de Musique de Genève in Switzerland. Lidija's dedication to music and her exceptional talent have earned her numerous awards and honors throughout her career. In 2003, she was awarded the title of Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres by the French government in recognition of her contributions to the arts.
