Her parents, who were both music enthusiasts, encouraged her to pursue her passion for music, and she began taking piano lessons with a local teacher. She participated in various music competitions and won several awards, including the first prize in the National Piano Competition for Young Musicians in 1998. Petra's career as a professional musician began in earnest after she completed her studies in London. One of Petra's most significant performances was at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam in 2012. She performed Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5, also known as the Emperor Concerto, with the Amsterdam Symphony Orchestra. The concert was also broadcast on national television, further cementing Petra's reputation as a rising star in the world of classical music.
