The Berliner Mozartchor is a renowned classical music choir based in Berlin, Germany. The choir was founded in 1955 by conductor and composer Helmut Koch, who served as its artistic director until his death in 2009. Since then, the choir has been led by conductor and pianist Vinzenz Weissenburger. The Berliner Mozartchor has a rich history of performing classical choral works, particularly those of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The choir has also performed works by other composers such as Johann Sebastian Bach, Ludwig van Beethoven, and Johannes Brahms. The Echo Klassik is one of the most prestigious awards in the classical music industry and is awarded annually to the best classical recordings of the year.
