LINensemble is a classical music ensemble that was founded in 2012 by a group of talented musicians who shared a passion for chamber music. The ensemble is based in New York City and is known for its innovative and dynamic performances that blend classical music with contemporary styles. The founding members of LINensemble were violinist Yibin Li and pianist Ning Yu, who were both graduates of the Juilliard School of Music. They were joined by cellist Jia Kim and clarinetist Vasko Dukovski, both of whom were also accomplished musicians with extensive experience in chamber music. From the beginning, LINensemble set out to create a unique sound that would combine the traditional elements of classical music with modern influences. The ensemble's repertoire includes works by classical composers such as Mozart, Beethoven, and Brahms, as well as contemporary pieces by living composers. One of the highlights of LINensemble's early career was their performance at the 2013 Chamber Music America Conference in New York City. The ensemble was selected to perform as part of the conference's showcase of up-and-coming chamber music groups, and their performance was well-received by both the audience and the critics. In 2014, LINensemble released their debut album, "LINensemble: Live in Concert." The album features live recordings of some of the ensemble's most popular pieces, including works by Mozart, Brahms, and contemporary composer David Lang. Over the years, LINensemble has continued to perform at major venues and festivals around the world. In 2016, the ensemble was invited to perform at the Beijing Modern Music Festival in China, where they received critical acclaim for their performance of contemporary Chinese composer Tan Dun's "Ghost Opera." In addition to their performances, LINensemble has also been recognized for their contributions to the world of classical music. In 2017, the ensemble was awarded the Chamber Music America Residency Partnership Grant, which allowed them to collaborate with other musicians and composers to create new works. Today, LINensemble continues to push the boundaries of classical music with their innovative and dynamic performances. The ensemble's members are all accomplished musicians in their own right, and their collective talent and passion for music is evident in every performance. Whether performing traditional classical pieces or contemporary works, LINensemble is a group that is sure to captivate audiences with their unique sound and style.
