Ensemble Il Suonar Parlante is a classical music group that was founded in 1989 by its artistic director and conductor, Vittorio Ghielmi. Vittorio Ghielmi was born in Milan in 1968 and began studying the viola da gamba at a young age. He went on to study at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis in Switzerland, where he was mentored by the renowned viola da gamba player Jordi Savall.
