Arnau Reynés was born on May 15, 1990, in Palma de Mallorca, Spain. He grew up in a family of musicians, with his father being a pianist and his mother a singer. From a young age, Reynés showed a natural talent for music and began studying the piano at the age of six. Reynés continued his musical education at the Conservatori Superior de Música de les Illes Balears, where he studied under the guidance of renowned pianist and pedagogue, Catalina Sureda. He later went on to study at the Conservatori del Liceu in Barcelona, where he received his Bachelor's degree in Piano Performance. Throughout his career, Reynés has received numerous awards and accolades for his musical talent. In 2010, he was awarded the First Prize at the Concurso Internacional de Piano de Ibiza, and in 2012, he won the First Prize at the Concurso Internacional de Piano de Lleida. He has also been a finalist in several other international piano competitions, including the Concurso Internacional de Piano de Santander and the Concurso Internacional de Piano de Valencia. Reynés has performed in some of the most prestigious concert halls around the world, including the Carnegie Hall in New York, the Royal Albert Hall in London, and the Berlin Philharmonic. He has also collaborated with some of the most renowned orchestras, including the London Symphony Orchestra, the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, and the New York Philharmonic. One of Reynés' most notable performances was his debut at the Carnegie Hall in 2014, where he performed a solo recital featuring works by Chopin, Liszt, and Beethoven. The performance was met with critical acclaim, with The New York Times describing Reynés as "a pianist of exceptional talent and sensitivity." In addition to his solo performances, Reynés is also an accomplished chamber musician. He has collaborated with some of the most renowned musicians in the world, including violinist Joshua Bell and cellist Yo-Yo Ma. Reynés is also a dedicated educator, and has taught masterclasses at some of the most prestigious music schools around the world, including the Juilliard School in New York and the Royal Academy of Music in London.
