David Pickering was born on May 12, 1985, in London, England. He grew up in a family of musicians, with his father being a renowned pianist and his mother a violinist. From a young age, David showed a keen interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of four. David's parents recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursue a career in music. He began taking piano lessons with his father and quickly progressed, mastering complex pieces by Mozart and Beethoven. By the age of ten, David had already won several local piano competitions and was gaining recognition as a prodigious talent. In 1996, David was accepted into the prestigious Royal Academy of Music in London, where he studied under the tutelage of renowned pianist and teacher, Maria João Pires.
