Philip Greenberg was born on May 15, 1985, in New York City. He grew up in a family of musicians, with his father being a professional pianist and his mother a violinist. From a young age, Greenberg showed a natural talent for music and began playing the piano at the age of four. Greenberg's parents recognized his potential and enrolled him in the Juilliard School's Pre-College Division when he was just six years old. He studied under renowned pianist and teacher Yoheved Kaplinsky, who recognized his exceptional talent and encouraged him to pursue a career in music. Greenberg continued his studies at the Juilliard School, where he earned his Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance. He then went on to earn his Master of Music degree from the Manhattan School of Music, where he studied under the tutelage of renowned pianist and teacher Solomon Mikowsky. Throughout his career, Greenberg has performed in some of the world's most prestigious concert halls, including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and the Kennedy Center. He has also performed as a soloist with numerous orchestras, including the New York Philharmonic, the Boston Symphony Orchestra, and the London Symphony Orchestra. One of Greenberg's most notable performances was his debut at Carnegie Hall in 2008. He performed a program of works by Beethoven, Chopin, and Liszt to critical acclaim, with The New York Times praising his "virtuosic technique and musical sensitivity." In addition to his performances, Greenberg has also won numerous awards and competitions throughout his career.
