She studied at the Yehudi Menuhin School and later at the Royal College of Music in London, where she was awarded the prestigious Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Scholarship. Gowers' career as a professional musician began in earnest in 2002, when she won the Gold Medal at the Royal Over-Seas League Music Competition. One of the highlights of Gowers' career came in 2006, when she was invited to perform at the BBC Proms, one of the world's most prestigious classical music festivals. She played the Brahms Violin Concerto with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, and her performance was widely praised for its technical brilliance and emotional depth. In addition to her work as a performer, Gowers is also a dedicated teacher. She has taught at the Royal College of Music and the Yehudi Menuhin School, and she has given masterclasses at many other institutions around the world. Her students have gone on to win numerous awards and prizes, and many have established successful careers as professional musicians.
