Cosmopolitan Orchestra is a classical music ensemble that was founded in 2009 by conductor and pianist, Dr. Jung-Ho Pak. The ensemble is based in New York City and is known for its innovative and diverse programming, which includes classical, contemporary, and world music. Dr. Jung-Ho Pak, who is also the artistic director of the Cape Symphony Orchestra in Massachusetts, founded Cosmopolitan Orchestra with the goal of creating a musical ensemble that would reflect the diversity of New York City. The ensemble's name, "Cosmopolitan," reflects this goal, as it means "belonging to all the world" or "embracing all the world." The ensemble's main members include a diverse group of musicians from around the world, including the United States, South Korea, China, Japan, and Europe.
