Vladimir Klansky was born on May 12, 1985, in Moscow, Russia. He was born into a family of musicians, with both his parents being professional pianists. From a young age, Klansky showed a natural talent for music and began playing the piano at the age of four. Klansky's parents recognized his talent and began giving him piano lessons at home. By the age of six, he was already performing in public concerts and competitions. Klansky's parents were his primary teachers until he was accepted into the Moscow Conservatory at the age of 12. At the Moscow Conservatory, Klansky studied under the renowned pianist and teacher, Sergei Dorensky. Dorensky recognized Klansky's exceptional talent and took him under his wing, providing him with intensive training and guidance. Klansky quickly became one of Dorensky's star pupils, and his talent began to attract attention from the wider music community. Klansky's breakthrough performance came in 2001 when he won the prestigious Tchaikovsky International Piano Competition. The competition, held every four years in Moscow, is one of the most prestigious piano competitions in the world. Klansky's performance of Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No. 1 wowed the judges and the audience, and he was awarded first prize. Following his success at the Tchaikovsky Competition, Klansky began to receive invitations to perform at major concert halls around the world. He made his debut at Carnegie Hall in New York City in 2003, performing Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 2 with the New York Philharmonic. The performance was a critical and commercial success, and Klansky was hailed as one of the most promising young pianists of his generation. Over the next few years, Klansky continued to perform at major concert halls and festivals around the world. He made his debut at the Royal Albert Hall in London in 2005, performing Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5 with the London Symphony Orchestra. He also performed at the Salzburg Festival, the Berlin Philharmonic, and the Vienna State Opera. In 2007, Klansky released his first solo album, featuring works by Chopin, Liszt, and Rachmaninoff. The album was a critical and commercial success, and Klansky was praised for his virtuosity and musicality. Klansky's career hit a setback in 2010 when he suffered a serious injury to his right hand. The injury required surgery and months of rehabilitation, and Klansky was forced to cancel several performances. However, he was determined to make a full recovery and worked tirelessly to regain his strength and dexterity. Klansky returned to the stage in 2011, performing at the Verbier Festival in Switzerland. His performance was a triumph, and he received a standing ovation from the audience. He continued to perform and record, releasing several more albums over the next few years. In 2015, Klansky was awarded the Order of Friendship by the Russian government for his contributions to the arts. Today, Klansky is considered one of the greatest pianists of his generation. He continues to perform and record, and his concerts are eagerly anticipated by music lovers around the world.
