Lilia Boyadjieva, the pianist of the Goldberg Trio, was born in Bulgaria and began playing the piano at the age of five. She studied at the National Music Academy in Sofia and later at the Hochschule für Musik in Vienna. She has won numerous awards and competitions, including the International Piano Competition in Senigallia, Italy, and the International Piano Competition in Varna, Bulgaria. Evgeni Simeonov, the violinist of the Goldberg Trio, was born in Bulgaria and began playing the violin at the age of six. He studied at the National Music Academy in Sofia and later at the Hochschule für Musik in Vienna. He has won numerous awards and competitions, including the International Violin Competition in Sion, Switzerland, and the International Violin Competition in Varna, Bulgaria. Yosif Radionov, the cellist of the Goldberg Trio, was born in Bulgaria and began playing the cello at the age of seven. He studied at the National Music Academy in Sofia and later at the Hochschule für Musik in Vienna. He has won numerous awards and competitions, including the International Cello Competition in Markneukirchen, Germany, and the International Cello Competition in Varna, Bulgaria. The Goldberg Trio has performed in some of the world's most prestigious concert halls, including Carnegie Hall in New York, the Royal Albert Hall in London, and the Musikverein in Vienna. The trio has also performed at numerous music festivals, including the Salzburg Festival, the Edinburgh International Festival, and the Lucerne Festival. One of the highlights of the Goldberg Trio's career was their performance of the complete Beethoven piano trios at the Musikverein in Vienna.
