Katie Hyun is a renowned classical music artist who has made a name for herself as a violinist. Born in South Korea, Hyun grew up in a family of musicians. Her mother was a pianist, and her father was a conductor. From a young age, Hyun showed a keen interest in music and began playing the violin at the age of four. Hyun's family moved to the United States when she was six years old, and she continued her music education there. She attended the Juilliard School in New York City, where she studied with renowned violinist Itzhak Perlman. Hyun also studied with other notable violinists, including Pinchas Zukerman and Cho-Liang Lin. Hyun's talent as a violinist was evident from a young age, and she quickly gained recognition for her skill. She won numerous competitions, including the Juilliard Concerto Competition and the Aspen Music Festival Concerto Competition. In 2003, she was awarded the prestigious Avery Fisher Career Grant, which recognizes outstanding young musicians. Hyun has performed with some of the world's leading orchestras, including the New York Philharmonic, the Philadelphia Orchestra, and the Seoul Philharmonic.
