Dinh Gilly is a renowned classical music artist who has made a significant impact in the world of music. Born on January 1, 1985, in Hanoi, Vietnam, Dinh Gilly showed an early interest in music. His parents, who were both music teachers, recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursue his passion. At the age of six, Dinh Gilly began taking piano lessons and quickly showed a natural aptitude for the instrument. He continued to study music throughout his childhood and adolescence, eventually earning a degree in piano performance from the Vietnam National Academy of Music. After completing his studies, Dinh Gilly began performing professionally, quickly gaining recognition for his exceptional talent. He won several awards at national and international competitions, including the first prize at the Vietnam National Piano Competition in 2005 and the second prize at the ASEAN International Chopin Piano Competition in 2007. In 2008, Dinh Gilly moved to France to further his musical education. He enrolled in the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, where he studied under the guidance of renowned pianist and pedagogue Michel Dalberto. During his time in France, Dinh Gilly also had the opportunity to perform in some of the country's most prestigious concert halls, including the Salle Pleyel and the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées. Dinh Gilly's career continued to flourish after he returned to Vietnam in 2012. He became a regular performer with the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra and was invited to perform at numerous music festivals throughout the country. In 2014, he was awarded the title of "Young Talent of the Year" by the Vietnam Musicians Association. In addition to his performances as a soloist, Dinh Gilly is also an accomplished chamber musician. He has collaborated with some of the world's most renowned musicians, including violinist Renaud Capuçon and cellist Gautier Capuçon. Together, they have performed in some of the world's most prestigious concert halls, including the Berlin Philharmonic and the Royal Albert Hall in London. Dinh Gilly's repertoire is diverse, ranging from classical works by composers such as Bach, Beethoven, and Chopin to contemporary pieces by living composers. One of Dinh Gilly's most memorable performances took place in 2016, when he performed Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 2 with the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra.
