Hackl's career as a professional musician began in 1971 when he joined the Vienna State Opera Orchestra as a trumpet player. He quickly rose through the ranks and became the principal trumpet player in 1976. Hackl's talent and dedication to his craft were evident, and he soon became one of the most sought-after trumpet players in the world. Hackl's career highlights include his performances with some of the world's most prestigious orchestras, including the Berlin Philharmonic, the London Symphony Orchestra, and the New York Philharmonic.
