From a young age, Lustig showed a keen interest in music, and his parents encouraged him to pursue his passion. Lustig began his musical training at the age of six, when he started taking piano lessons. He quickly showed a natural talent for the instrument and progressed rapidly. By the age of ten, he had already won several local competitions and was considered a prodigy. In his teenage years, Lustig began to explore other instruments, including the violin and the cello. He also started to compose his own music, drawing inspiration from the great composers of the past. His compositions were well-received, and he was encouraged to pursue a career in music. After completing his secondary education, Lustig enrolled at the Berlin University of the Arts, where he studied under some of the most renowned music teachers in the country.
