Jesús Arámbarri was a Spanish composer and conductor who was born on January 21, 1902, in Bilbao, Spain. He was the son of a Basque family, and his father was a well-known musician and composer. Arámbarri grew up in a musical environment, and he began his musical studies at a young age. Arámbarri studied at the Bilbao Conservatory, where he learned to play the piano, violin, and cello. He also studied composition with the composer and conductor José María Usandizaga. In 1920, Arámbarri moved to Madrid to continue his studies at the Royal Conservatory of Music. There, he studied composition with Conrado del Campo and conducting with Enrique Fernández Arbós. In 1923, Arámbarri won the National Prize for Composition for his work "Suite Vasca," which was inspired by Basque folk music. Arámbarri's career as a conductor began in 1925 when he was appointed the conductor of the Bilbao Symphony Orchestra.
