Catherine Gordeladze is a renowned classical pianist who has captivated audiences around the world with her virtuosic performances and deep musicality. Born in Tbilisi, Georgia, in 1981, Gordeladze showed an early aptitude for music and began studying piano at the age of five. She quickly demonstrated a natural talent for the instrument, and her parents enrolled her in the Tbilisi State Conservatory, where she studied under the tutelage of some of the most esteemed piano teachers in the country. As a young musician, Gordeladze quickly made a name for herself in the Georgian music scene, winning numerous competitions and performing in prestigious venues throughout the country. Her talent and dedication to her craft caught the attention of the international music community, and in 2000, she was awarded a scholarship to study at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hamburg, Germany. During her time in Hamburg, Gordeladze continued to hone her skills as a pianist, studying under the renowned pianist and pedagogue Evgeni Koroliov. She also began to make a name for herself on the international stage, winning top prizes at several major piano competitions, including the International Piano Competition in Senigallia, Italy, and the International Piano Competition in Andorra. Gordeladze's career continued to flourish in the years that followed, and she quickly became known for her dynamic and expressive performances, as well as her deep understanding of the music she played. She has performed with some of the world's most prestigious orchestras, including the Moscow Philharmonic, the St. Petersburg Philharmonic, and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and has collaborated with some of the most esteemed conductors of our time, including Vladimir Ashkenazy, Yuri Temirkanov, and Valery Gergiev. One of the highlights of Gordeladze's career came in 2009, when she was invited to perform at the prestigious Verbier Festival in Switzerland. Her performance was met with critical acclaim, and she was praised for her "dazzling technique" and "deeply felt interpretation" of the music she played. Since then, Gordeladze has become a regular performer at the festival, and her performances there are always eagerly anticipated by audiences and critics alike. In addition to her work as a performer, Gordeladze is also a dedicated teacher and mentor to young musicians.
