Trio Imàge is a classical music ensemble that was founded in 2005 by three talented musicians, pianist Maria Sumareva, violinist Inna Satunovsky, and cellist Branson Yeast. The trio has since become one of the most sought-after chamber music groups in the world, known for their virtuosic performances and innovative programming. Maria Sumareva, originally from Russia, began playing the piano at the age of five and went on to study at the Moscow State Conservatory. Inna Satunovsky, born in Ukraine, started playing the violin at the age of six and later studied at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance. Branson Yeast, from the United States, began playing the cello at the age of eight and went on to study at the Juilliard School in New York City. The three musicians met while studying at the Cleveland Institute of Music and quickly discovered a shared passion for chamber music. They formed Trio Imàge with the goal of exploring the rich repertoire of piano trio music and bringing their unique interpretations to audiences around the world. Since their founding, Trio Imàge has performed at some of the most prestigious concert halls and festivals in the world, including Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, the Ravinia Festival, and the Edinburgh International Festival. They have also collaborated with some of the world's leading musicians, including violinist Joshua Bell and cellist Yo-Yo Ma. One of the highlights of Trio Imàge's career was their performance at the 2010 International Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow, where they were awarded the Silver Medal. The competition, which is held every four years, is one of the most prestigious classical music competitions in the world and attracts the best young musicians from around the globe. In addition to their success at the Tchaikovsky Competition, Trio Imàge has also won numerous other awards and accolades throughout their career. They were the Grand Prize winners of the 2008 Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition and the 2009 Coleman Chamber Music Competition, and they have been featured on NPR's "Performance Today" and "From the Top." Trio Imàge is known for their innovative programming, which often includes lesser-known works alongside more familiar pieces. They are also committed to commissioning and performing new works by contemporary composers, and have premiered works by composers such as Jennifer Higdon and Mason Bates. Despite their busy performance schedule, the members of Trio Imàge are also dedicated educators and frequently give masterclasses and workshops for young musicians. They have served as faculty members at the Cleveland Institute of Music and the University of Michigan, and have also taught at summer music festivals such as the Aspen Music Festival and School and the Heifetz International Music Institute. In addition to their work as a trio, each member of Trio Imàge is also an accomplished soloist and chamber musician in their own right. Maria Sumareva has performed as a soloist with orchestras such as the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra and the Cleveland Orchestra, and has also collaborated with musicians such as violinist Vadim Gluzman and cellist Alisa Weilerstein. Inna Satunovsky has performed as a soloist with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra and the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, and has also collaborated with musicians such as pianist Yefim Bronfman and cellist Lynn Harrell.More....
