In 1963, Anderson founded the Polar Music record label with Bengt Bernhag. The label became one of the most successful in Sweden and signed many popular artists, including ABBA. Anderson became the manager of ABBA and played a crucial role in their success. He helped to shape their image and sound and was involved in the production of their music. ABBA became one of the most successful pop groups of all time, selling over 380 million records worldwide.
