Her parents were both musicians, and they encouraged her to pursue music from a young age. Conchita showed a natural talent for music, and she began playing the piano at the age of four. Conchita's parents recognized her talent and enrolled her in the Madrid Conservatory of Music when she was just six years old. She studied under some of the most renowned music teachers in Spain, and her talent continued to flourish. By the time she was a teenager, Conchita had already won several awards for her piano playing. In 1968, Conchita moved to Paris to study at the Conservatoire de Paris. She studied under the tutelage of some of the most renowned music teachers in the world, including Yvonne Lefébure and Pierre Sancan. During her time in Paris, Conchita's talent continued to grow, and she began to gain recognition as a pianist. In 1972, Conchita made her debut performance at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris. Her performance was met with critical acclaim, and she quickly became known as one of the most talented pianists of her generation. Over the next few years, Conchita performed at some of the most prestigious concert halls in the world, including Carnegie Hall in New York and the Royal Albert Hall in London. In 1976, Conchita won the prestigious International Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow. The competition was one of the most prestigious music competitions in the world, and winning it was a significant achievement for Conchita. Her performance of Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No. 1 was met with a standing ovation, and she was awarded the first prize. Following her win at the Tchaikovsky Competition, Conchita's career continued to flourish. She performed with some of the most renowned orchestras in the world, including the London Symphony Orchestra and the Berlin Philharmonic. She also recorded several albums, including a recording of Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5, which was widely praised by critics. In 1982, Conchita was awarded the National Music Prize in Spain. The award was a significant achievement for Conchita, as it recognized her contribution to the world of music. She continued to perform and record throughout the 1980s and 1990s, and her talent continued to be recognized by audiences and critics alike.
