In 1975, Phil made his debut at the Vienna State Opera, where he performed Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 21. The performance was a resounding success, and Phil received a standing ovation from the audience. He performed with some of the world's leading orchestras, including the Berlin Philharmonic, the London Symphony Orchestra, and the New York Philharmonic. In 1982, Phil received the prestigious Grammy Award for Best Classical Performance – Instrumental Soloist(s) with Orchestra. The award was in recognition of his performance of Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5 with the Berlin Philharmonic. The award was a testament to Phil's talent and dedication to his craft.
