Evgeni Shenderovich is a renowned classical music artist who has made a significant contribution to the world of music. He was born on December 12, 1975, in Moscow, Russia. From a young age, Shenderovich showed a keen interest in music, and his parents encouraged him to pursue his passion. Shenderovich began his musical training at the age of six, studying piano under the guidance of his mother, who was a professional pianist. He showed remarkable talent and dedication, and by the age of ten, he had already won several local competitions. In 1986, Shenderovich was accepted into the prestigious Moscow Central Music School, where he continued his piano studies under the tutelage of renowned pianist and teacher, Tatiana Zelikman. During his time at the school, Shenderovich won numerous awards and accolades, including first prize at the International Young Pianists Competition in Ettlingen, Germany, in 1990. After completing his studies at the Moscow Central Music School, Shenderovich went on to study at the Moscow State Conservatory, where he received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in piano performance. He continued to win awards and prizes, including first prize at the International Piano Competition in Santander, Spain, in 1997. Shenderovich's talent and dedication to his craft did not go unnoticed, and he was soon invited to perform at some of the world's most prestigious concert halls, including Carnegie Hall in New York, the Royal Albert Hall in London, and the Berlin Philharmonic. He has also performed with some of the world's leading orchestras, including the London Symphony Orchestra, the Berlin Philharmonic, and the New York Philharmonic. In addition to his solo performances, Shenderovich is also an accomplished chamber musician, having collaborated with some of the world's leading musicians, including violinist Maxim Vengerov and cellist Mischa Maisky. Shenderovich's repertoire is vast and includes works by some of the greatest composers in history, including Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, and Rachmaninoff. He is particularly known for his interpretations of the works of Sergei Rachmaninoff, and his recording of Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 2 with the London Symphony Orchestra is considered one of the definitive recordings of the piece. Shenderovich has received numerous awards and accolades throughout his career, including the prestigious Order of Merit for the Fatherland, which he received in 2010. He has also been awarded the State Prize of the Russian Federation and the Shostakovich Prize. Despite his success, Shenderovich remains humble and dedicated to his craft. He continues to perform regularly and is committed to sharing his love of music with audiences around the world. His passion for music and his dedication to his art have made him one of the most respected and admired classical musicians of his generation.
