Mario Finotti was born on May 12, 1985, in Milan, Italy. He grew up in a family of musicians, with his father being a renowned pianist and his mother a violinist. From a young age, Finotti showed a natural talent for music and began playing the piano at the age of four. As a child, Finotti was enrolled in the prestigious Conservatorio Giuseppe Verdi in Milan, where he studied under the guidance of some of the most renowned classical music teachers in Italy. He quickly became known for his exceptional talent and dedication to his craft, and by the age of 12, he had already won several local and national piano competitions. In 2001, Finotti was awarded a scholarship to study at the Juilliard School in New York City, where he continued to hone his skills under the tutelage of some of the most respected classical music teachers in the world. During his time at Juilliard, Finotti was awarded several prestigious awards, including the Van Cliburn Scholarship and the Arthur Rubinstein Prize. After graduating from Juilliard in 2005, Finotti began performing professionally, quickly gaining a reputation as one of the most talented and dynamic classical pianists of his generation. He has performed in some of the most prestigious concert halls in the world, including Carnegie Hall in New York City, the Royal Albert Hall in London, and the Berlin Philharmonic. Finotti's performances are known for their technical precision, emotional depth, and virtuosity. He is particularly renowned for his interpretations of the works of Chopin, Liszt, and Beethoven, and has been praised for his ability to bring new life to even the most well-known classical pieces. In addition to his work as a performer, Finotti is also a dedicated teacher and mentor to young musicians. He has taught master classes at some of the most respected music schools in the world, including the Royal Academy of Music in London and the Conservatoire de Paris. Throughout his career, Finotti has been the recipient of numerous awards and honors, including the International Piano Competition in Warsaw, the International Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw, and the International Liszt Piano Competition in Utrecht. He has also been awarded the prestigious Avery Fisher Career Grant, which recognizes outstanding young musicians who show exceptional promise for a career in classical music. Despite his many accomplishments, Finotti remains humble and dedicated to his craft. He continues to perform and teach around the world, inspiring a new generation of classical musicians with his passion and talent.
