Carlo Jens was born on May 15, 1985, in Vienna, Austria. He was born into a family of musicians, with his father being a renowned pianist and his mother a violinist. From a young age, Carlo showed a keen interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of four. He was a prodigious talent and quickly gained recognition for his exceptional musical abilities. Carlo's parents recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursue a career in music. He began taking piano lessons with his father and soon started performing in public. At the age of eight, Carlo gave his first public performance at a local music festival. His performance was well-received, and he was praised for his technical proficiency and musicality. Carlo continued to study music throughout his childhood and adolescence. He attended the Vienna Conservatory, where he studied under some of the most renowned piano teachers in the world. He also participated in numerous music competitions, winning several awards and accolades. In 2003, Carlo won first prize at the International Piano Competition in Moscow. This was a major achievement for the young musician, and it helped to establish him as one of the most promising young pianists of his generation. Carlo's success at the competition led to numerous performance opportunities, and he began to tour extensively throughout Europe and Asia. Over the years, Carlo has performed with some of the world's leading orchestras, including the Vienna Philharmonic, the Berlin Philharmonic, and the New York Philharmonic. He has also collaborated with many of the world's most renowned conductors, including Daniel Barenboim, Simon Rattle, and Zubin Mehta. One of Carlo's most memorable performances was his debut at Carnegie Hall in 2008. He performed a program of works by Beethoven, Chopin, and Liszt, and received a standing ovation from the audience. The New York Times praised his performance, calling him "a pianist of extraordinary talent and sensitivity." In addition to his performances as a soloist, Carlo is also an accomplished chamber musician.
