From a young age, Tamburini showed a natural talent for music and began playing the trumpet at the age of 10. Tamburini's early musical education was focused on jazz, and he quickly became a skilled jazz trumpeter. He studied at the Conservatory of Milan and later at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he honed his skills and developed a deep understanding of jazz theory and improvisation. After completing his studies, Tamburini returned to Italy and began performing with some of the country's top jazz musicians. He quickly gained a reputation as one of the most talented and innovative jazz trumpeters in Italy, and his performances were praised for their technical skill and emotional depth. In addition to his work in jazz, Tamburini also began exploring classical music. He studied with some of the top classical trumpet players in Italy and began performing with classical orchestras and ensembles. His ability to seamlessly transition between jazz and classical music made him a sought-after performer, and he quickly became one of the most versatile musicians in Italy. Tamburini's career reached new heights in the 1990s, when he began performing with some of the world's top jazz musicians. He played with jazz legends like Dizzy Gillespie, Chick Corea, and Wynton Marsalis, and his performances were praised for their technical skill and emotional depth. In addition to his work as a performer, Tamburini also became a respected educator. He taught at the Conservatory of Milan and later at the Siena Jazz Academy, where he helped to train a new generation of jazz musicians. Throughout his career, Tamburini received numerous awards and accolades for his work as a musician. In 1992, he won the Top Jazz Award at the Sanremo Festival, one of Italy's most prestigious music awards. He also won the Best Jazz Soloist Award at the Umbria Jazz Festival in 1995 and the Best Italian Jazz Musician Award at the Italian Jazz Awards in 2001. Despite his success as a musician, Tamburini faced numerous challenges throughout his life. In 2003, he was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, a debilitating disease that affects the nervous system. Despite the challenges posed by his illness, Tamburini continued to perform and record music, and he remained an inspiration to musicians and fans around the world. Sadly, Tamburini passed away on December 10, 2014, at the age of 52.
