Dariya Hrynkiv is a Ukrainian classical pianist who has gained international recognition for her exceptional talent and musicality. Born on May 5, 1993, in Lviv, Ukraine, Dariya showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of six. Her parents, who were both musicians, recognized her potential and encouraged her to pursue a career in music. Dariya's musical education began at the Lviv Special Music School for Gifted Children, where she studied under the guidance of renowned pianist and pedagogue, Professor Halyna Krukovska. She quickly distinguished herself as a prodigious talent, winning numerous awards and competitions, including the Grand Prix at the International Piano Competition in San Dona di Piave, Italy, in 2006. In 2008, Dariya was accepted into the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine, where she continued her studies with Professor Krukovska. During her time at the academy, she participated in masterclasses with some of the world's most distinguished pianists, including Boris Berman, Andrzej Jasinski, and Pavel Nersessian. In 2012, Dariya was awarded a scholarship to study at the Royal College of Music in London, where she studied with Professor Vanessa Latarche. Her time at the Royal College of Music was a transformative experience, allowing her to broaden her musical horizons and develop her own unique artistic voice. She graduated with distinction in 2014, receiving the prestigious Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Award for Excellence. Since then, Dariya has established herself as one of the most exciting young pianists of her generation, performing extensively throughout Europe and Asia. She has appeared as a soloist with numerous orchestras, including the Lviv Philharmonic Orchestra, the National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine, and the London Chamber Orchestra. One of the highlights of Dariya's career was her performance at the 2015 Chopin Festival in Warsaw, where she was invited to perform in the prestigious Chopin Competition Winners' Concert. Her performance was widely praised for its technical brilliance and emotional depth, and she received a standing ovation from the audience. Dariya has also been recognized for her recordings, which have received critical acclaim and numerous awards. Her debut album, featuring works by Chopin and Liszt, was released in 2016 and was named "Album of the Week" by Classic FM. Her second album, featuring works by Schumann and Brahms, was released in 2018 and was praised by Gramophone magazine for its "sensitivity and intelligence." In addition to her performing and recording career, Dariya is also a dedicated teacher and mentor. She has given masterclasses and workshops at numerous institutions, including the Royal College of Music, the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine, and the Beijing Central Conservatory of Music. Dariya's talent and dedication have been recognized with numerous awards and honors. In 2016, she was awarded the Ukrainian President's Prize for Young Artists, and in 2018, she was named a laureate of the International Prokofiev Competition in St. Petersburg. She is also a recipient of the prestigious Yamaha Music Foundation of Europe Scholarship. Despite her many accomplishments, Dariya remains humble and focused on her art.
