His parents recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursue his passion for music. Dietmar's musical journey began when he joined the Berlin Music School at the age of ten. He received formal training in piano, music theory, and composition. His talent and dedication to music were evident from an early age, and he quickly became one of the most promising students at the school. In 1990, Dietmar won the first prize in the Berlin Music School's annual piano competition. This was a significant achievement for him, and it marked the beginning of his career as a classical music artist. He continued to participate in various competitions and won several awards, including the first prize in the National Piano Competition in 1992. After completing his studies at the Berlin Music School, Dietmar enrolled at the Hanns Eisler School of Music in Berlin. He made his debut at the Berlin Philharmonic in 2001, where he performed Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5. The performance was a huge success, and it established Dietmar as one of the most promising young pianists of his generation. Over the years, Dietmar has performed with some of the world's leading orchestras, including the Vienna Philharmonic, the London Symphony Orchestra, and the New York Philharmonic. He has also collaborated with many renowned conductors, including Daniel Barenboim, Simon Rattle, and Zubin Mehta. One of the highlights of Dietmar's career was his performance at the Salzburg Festival in 2005.
