Tamara Banješević is a Serbian classical pianist who has gained international recognition for her exceptional talent and musicality. Born on May 5, 1991, in Belgrade, Serbia, Tamara showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of six. Her parents, both music lovers, recognized her potential and encouraged her to pursue her passion for music. Tamara's musical education began at the age of seven when she enrolled in the Music School "Kosta Manojlovic" in Zemun, Serbia. She studied under the guidance of Professor Ljiljana Vukelja, who recognized her talent and encouraged her to participate in various competitions and concerts. Tamara's hard work and dedication paid off when she won her first competition at the age of nine, the "Petar Konjovic" competition in Belgrade. Tamara continued her musical education at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade, where she studied under the guidance of Professor Ninoslav Zivkovic. She graduated with honors in 2013, receiving the highest grade for her final recital. During her studies, Tamara participated in numerous competitions and concerts, winning several awards and prizes. One of Tamara's most significant achievements was winning the first prize at the International Piano Competition "Citta di Barletta" in Italy in 2011. Her performance of Beethoven's "Piano Sonata No. 23" impressed the jury, and she was awarded the first prize, which included a concert tour in Italy. Tamara's success at the competition opened doors for her, and she began receiving invitations to perform at various concerts and festivals around the world. Tamara's career as a concert pianist took off after her success at the "Citta di Barletta" competition. She has performed in some of the most prestigious concert halls in Europe, including the Berlin Philharmonic, the Vienna Konzerthaus, and the Amsterdam Concertgebouw. Tamara has also performed in Asia, North America, and South America, receiving critical acclaim for her performances. One of Tamara's most memorable performances was at the "Chopin and his Europe" festival in Warsaw, Poland, in 2015. She performed Chopin's "Piano Concerto No. 1" with the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Jacek Kaspszyk. Her performance was praised for its sensitivity and musicality, and she received a standing ovation from the audience. Tamara has also collaborated with some of the most renowned conductors and orchestras in the world, including the London Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra. She has worked with conductors such as Vladimir Ashkenazy, Sir Neville Marriner, and Gianandrea Noseda, among others. Tamara's talent and hard work have been recognized with numerous awards and prizes. In 2014, she was awarded the "Young Musician of the Year" award by the Serbian Ministry of Culture. She was also a finalist at the International Piano Competition "Ferruccio Busoni" in Bolzano, Italy, in 2015, and the International Piano Competition "Arthur Rubinstein" in Tel Aviv, Israel, in 2017. Tamara is also passionate about teaching and has given masterclasses in Serbia, Italy, and the United States. She believes that teaching is an essential part of her musical career and enjoys sharing her knowledge and experience with young musicians.
