Born in Ukraine in 1983, Zbruyeva showed an early aptitude for music and began studying piano at the age of six. Her talent was quickly recognized, and she was accepted into the prestigious Lysenko Special Music School in Kiev, where she received rigorous training in both piano performance and music theory. Zbruyeva's early years were marked by a series of impressive accomplishments. At the age of nine, she won first prize in the Ukrainian National Piano Competition, and at twelve, she made her debut with the Kiev Philharmonic Orchestra, performing Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 20 in D minor. These early successes set the stage for a career that would take her to some of the world's most prestigious concert halls. After completing her studies at the Lysenko Special Music School, Zbruyeva went on to study at the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine, where she received a Bachelor's degree in piano performance. She then continued her studies at the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory, where she earned a Master's degree in piano performance under the tutelage of renowned pianist and pedagogue Eliso Virsaladze. Zbruyeva's time at the Moscow Conservatory was a formative period in her development as a musician. She was exposed to a wide range of musical styles and traditions, and had the opportunity to work with some of the most respected teachers and performers in the field. During this time, she also began to establish herself as a performer, giving recitals and appearing as a soloist with orchestras throughout Russia and Ukraine. In 2008, Zbruyeva moved to the United States to pursue further studies at the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. There, she studied with renowned pianist and pedagogue Leon Fleisher, who had a profound impact on her approach to music-making. Under Fleisher's guidance, Zbruyeva developed a deeper understanding of the emotional and expressive aspects of music, and learned to approach each piece with a sense of curiosity and exploration. Zbruyeva's time at the Peabody Institute was marked by a series of impressive accomplishments. In 2010, she won first prize in the Peabody Concerto Competition, and in 2011, she was awarded the Yale Gordon Concerto Competition Prize. These awards helped to establish her as one of the most promising young pianists of her generation. Since completing her studies, Zbruyeva has gone on to establish herself as a sought-after performer and recording artist. She has appeared as a soloist with orchestras throughout the United States and Europe, and has given recitals at some of the world's most prestigious concert halls, including Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, and the Berlin Philharmonic. Her performances have been praised for their technical brilliance, emotional depth, and musical sensitivity. In addition to her work as a performer, Zbruyeva is also a dedicated teacher and mentor. She has taught masterclasses and given lectures at universities and conservatories throughout the United States and Europe, and has worked with young musicians from around the world to help them develop their skills and deepen their understanding of music.
