Period:BaroqueGenre:ConcertoViktor Siforenko was born on May 15, 1985, in Kiev, Ukraine. He grew up in a family of musicians, with his mother being a pianist and his father a cellist. From a young age, Viktor showed a natural talent for music and began playing the piano at the age of four. As a child, Viktor was enrolled in the Kiev Special Music School, where he received a rigorous musical education. He studied under some of the most renowned piano teachers in Ukraine, including Valentina Kuznetsova and Natalia Shvets. Viktor's talent and dedication to music quickly became apparent, and he began winning competitions and awards at a young age. In 2003, Viktor was accepted into the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine, where he continued his studies under the guidance of renowned pianist and teacher, Valery Kozlov. During his time at the academy, Viktor honed his skills as a pianist and developed a deep understanding of classical music. After graduating from the academy in 2008, Viktor began performing professionally as a soloist and chamber musician. He quickly gained a reputation as one of the most talented young pianists in Ukraine, and his performances were praised for their technical precision and emotional depth. In 2010, Viktor won first prize at the International Piano Competition in Kiev, cementing his status as a rising star in the classical music world. He went on to perform at some of the most prestigious concert halls in Ukraine and Europe, including the National Philharmonic of Ukraine, the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg, and the Royal Albert Hall in London. Viktor's performances were marked by his ability to bring out the nuances and emotions of each piece he played. He was particularly known for his interpretations of the works of Chopin, Rachmaninoff, and Liszt, which he played with a rare combination of technical skill and emotional depth. In addition to his solo performances, Viktor was also an accomplished chamber musician. He frequently collaborated with other musicians, including cellist Alexander Rudin and violinist Vadim Repin, and was a member of the Kiev Piano Duo with pianist Natalia Lavrova. Throughout his career, Viktor received numerous awards and accolades for his performances. In addition to his win at the International Piano Competition in Kiev, he was also a prize winner at the International Piano Competition in Moscow and the International Liszt Piano Competition in Utrecht. Tragically, Viktor's promising career was cut short when he passed away in a car accident in 2015, at the age of 30. His death was a great loss to the classical music world, and he is remembered as one of the most talented and promising young pianists of his generation.More....
