Helena Rathbone is a renowned Australian violinist and the concertmaster of the Australian Chamber Orchestra. She was born in Sydney, Australia, in 1971, and grew up in a family of musicians. Her father, John Rathbone, was a cellist, and her mother, Margaret Rathbone, was a pianist. Helena started playing the violin at the age of four and showed exceptional talent from an early age. Helena Rathbone received her early music education at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, where she studied with Alice Waten and Christopher Kimber. She later went on to study at the Juilliard School in New York with Dorothy DeLay and Cho-Liang Lin.
