From a young age, Edelmann showed a natural talent for music and began playing the cello at the age of four. Edelmann's parents recognized his potential and encouraged him to pursue a career in music. He began taking private lessons with his father and quickly progressed, winning his first competition at the age of six. By the time he was a teenager, Edelmann had already performed in some of the most prestigious concert halls in Europe, including the Musikverein in Vienna and the Royal Albert Hall in London. In 2003, Edelmann was accepted into the prestigious Juilliard School in New York City, where he studied under the tutelage of renowned cellist Yo-Yo Ma. During his time at Juilliard, Edelmann continued to hone his skills and develop his unique style, which blended traditional classical music with modern influences. After graduating from Juilliard in 2007, Edelmann began performing professionally, quickly gaining a reputation as one of the most talented and innovative cellists of his generation.
