Mary Lou Fallis is a Canadian soprano, comedian, and educator who has made a significant impact on the world of classical music. Born on April 22, 1948, in Toronto, Canada, Fallis grew up in a musical family and began singing at a young age. She attended the University of Toronto, where she earned a Bachelor of Music degree in voice and a Master of Music degree in opera. Fallis began her career as a classical singer, performing with various opera companies and orchestras in Canada and the United States. She quickly gained a reputation for her comedic talent and began incorporating humor into her performances. In 1978, she formed the vocal quartet The Four Bitchin' Babes, which performed humorous songs and parodies of popular music.
